Alma Dance MethodologySalsa is a sexy, energetic and fun partner dance that originated in Cuba and Puerto Rico.
Salsa expresses joy of life, connection, sensuality and lightness. That's why the soulful hip swing and the joy of the dancers are of particular importance for this dance.
A plus point is that dance partners are often switched, which offers the opportunity to get to know new people quickly. It can therefore happen that a lady experiences 10-30 different dance partners on a salsa evening.
Bachata is a cheerful, dynamic and fun partner dance, which has its origins in the Dominican Republic.
Compared to other dances, Bachata is the easiest to learn.
This is due to the very simple basics. If you add more variations, steps or figures, bachata dancing can become very challenging. It is also played in 4/4 time.
Kizomba is a sensual, close-partnered dance that originated in Angola and is popular in many former Portuguese colonies.
Today, Kizomba is growing in popularity all over the world, with Kizomba classes and Kizomba parties and festivals being held regularly.
Kizomba is known for its smooth, intimate movements and its focus on connection between partners. It is a slower dance than Salsa, with a strong emphasis on musicality and improvisation.
Frankfurt has a growing Kizomba scene, with a variety of studios offering Kizomba classes.
